12.How are Writing and Speaking graded?expand_more
Writing is graded by an AI system on Task Achievement, Coherence, Lexical Resource, and Grammar — with per-sentence feedback and an indicative band. Speaking currently supports voice recording; automatic Pronunciation and Fluency scoring is coming soon.
13.How many hours per day should I practise to improve my band?expand_more
A minimum of 1–2 hours per day for 8–12 weeks is the typical path to a 0.5–1.0 band lift. Consistency and post-session error analysis matter more than total study time.
14.Are there tournaments or leaderboards?expand_more
Yes. The weekly leaderboard tracks accumulated points from all graded sessions, and themed mini-tournaments (e.g. Matching Headings week) keep motivation up.
15.Where do I report a test error or send feedback?expand_more
Every test has a report button at the corner of each question. You can also send general feedback via the home page channel — our team replies within 1–2 working days.
16.Where does IELTS Mate's practice content come from?expand_more
The questions, passages, prompts, answer keys, and explanations are independently authored by the IELTS Mate team. They are independent study exercises, not materials issued by an IELTS examination body, and are not copied from published exam papers. IELTS Mate is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IELTS trademark owners.
